Ever notice that most toothbrushes we use today don’t fit into standard holders?
Me, too. Here’s my solution
The tree toothbrush holder shown here is a model made out of Scu;pey and wire (and a little bit of glue). I consider it a prototype, as I’d want to a change a few things before trying to produce an end product.
The inspirations for this:
Stefano Priovao’s Te ò Tea strainer by Alessi, for showing me how fun and functional can partner. I saw it in “Emotional Design.” by Donald Norman.
The way that passive chockstones fit into cracks as rock climbing protection.
The way that roots growing into a cliffside can anchor a tree in place.
Many years of tree climbing.
The bare Oak, Maple, Linden and Beech trees I see outside my window during this New England Winter.
A plastic wall mount Winnie-the-Pooh tub toy that my kids have, in the shape of a tree.
