I gave a talk at the OpenStack summit in Portland about using FreeIPA to secure OpenStack. You can see the video here. I have HTMLified my slides if you wish to browse through them.

Can we secure OpenStack with FreeIPA in ubuntu too? And do you have any notes how to actually configure FreeIPA? I am trying to secure my OpenStack cloud so considering this option too.
Many thanks in advance.

Yes, the only thing limited is that the FreIPA server cannot run yet on Ubuntu, but Ubuntu machines can be FreeIPA clients. The rules for configuring an Ubuntu mahcnie as a client are the same as for Fedora and RHEL: install the patckages and run ipa-client-install.
